This is the ceremony in which the boy is fed his last meal from his mothers hand, as he is now going to be reborn and will be away with his Guru. Eight boys who have completed their Munj, are fed a meal. This is called Ashtavarga (8 Boys). Jackfruit curry is made traditionally and the meal has 5 types of sweets
